About me

I have studied three years architecture at Chalmers University in Gothenburg, Sweden. I have also worked 2 years at Örebro council, also in Sweden, with citizen participation, mostly in questions about urban planning. I believe in a sustainable and conscious world, where we all together are co-creating.

I also appreciate art, and have studied one year Art and Handicraft at Nyckelviksskolan in Sweden. In Spain I have as well worked making portraits of people.

Yoga teacher& Sound healer

Kundalini yoga is in my life as an essential tool to live more presently, powerfully and playfully, and to accept, experience and transform challenges. I found it 2010 when I lived in Santander in Spain, and I felt it included what I had searched for: a practise that combined working with body, mind and spirit. In 2013 I began the journey of an 8 month teacher-training course, in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, which took place in Sweden at Yoga Mangalam. At one of the retreats of the course the gongs entered my life and I have since then discovered the magic and healing of these instruments, which I with gratitude integrate in my yoga classes. Last years I have attended several Gong & Sound healing trainings, eg. with Jens Zygar, Mehtab Benton and Don Concreaux, and I now offer 1-1 Gong &/or Yoga sessions. I love the possibility to share these tools with other human beings, and therefore also offer courses, workshops and retreats to dive deeper into presence. So the gong and sound healing journey continues..

2016-2019 I've been living in Brighton, the UK, where I have got the possibility to deepen and explore Kundalini Yoga & Sound healing with regular classes, workshops and retreats, both by myself, in collaborations and at events. It has been a blessed journey.

In Sweden I have held Kundalini yoga classes and gong baths, but also sessions in laughter yoga, chair yoga and mindfulness walks. I love being outside in nature, swimming in the sea, dancing, drawing, kirtan, meeting people, self-inquiry, sharing, etc… and to see how I can contribute to more peace and happiness in the world.

Maria embodies what she teaches - she is fully present and lives from the heart. It's been such a pleasure getting to know her through her soul-centred Kundalini classes. She knows how to push her students to develop further whilst holding the space with integrity and love. She truly loves what she does and it shows in every class, from her magical gong baths to her joyful exploration of each kriya and meditation. Anyone learning with Maria is lucky indeed - I feel blessed to have had her as my Kundalini teacher!

I feel so privileged to have met Maria, attended her classes and day retreat! She has such a wonderful and inspiring energy. The retreat was both nurturing and powerful, and I came away feeling wonderful and connected. A really special experience. Thank you!

I've been waiting for a Kundalini teacher to show up that I really connected with. Maria has so much energy and warmth, she exudes happiness, and just finished my first class with her in The Float Spa today.

I'm going to make her classes a regular fixture as she is so wonderful. Her immersion in the sacred, and yet joyful, practice of Kundalini really helps a person let go and find their own space comfortably in her classes. Also- the gong healing elements are amazing! Lovely to meet you. I will see you again soon x Seanin

Maria is wonderful and words will not be able to properly express her presence, however time spent within her bubble is like receiving a new battery in order to see the inspiration all around, I love to wake up with Maria's kundalini class, thank you once again my lovely, such a gift you are!!

I am very lucky and grateful to have shared Kundalini Yoga and Sound Therapy with Maria, she has a vast knowledge of both these powerful practices. She really does bring light and love to everything she does.

The workshop was amazing. Thank you very much. Keeping my eyes closed 95% was an interesting and magical experience. I had to dig a little deeper and trust myself...and I did.

Maria is a dedicated yoga teacher. Serious but full of an almost childlike wonder of practicing and teaching yoga. When showing yoga poses, singing, meditating, or giving her attention to her students, one can see the deep joy that Maria experience when teaching a yoga class. She guides her students with freshness and joy. In her classes there is also a profound stillness and presence creating a possibility for the students to go deeper into their own practice.

I felt particularly touched when attending one of her yoga and gong baths. I had not up until then been able to fully relax in a gong bath. There seemed to be some kind of resistance in my body to the sounds of the gong. However, the joyous and relaxed yoga and Marias soft guidance made my body feel enough trust to let go completely when entering the gong session. Letting the sounds of the gong vibrate through my body, I felt a lot of tension discharge. Softly being held by warm blankets I was carried to deeper states of rest to the sound of the gong. Waking up, I could feel a new crispness, a freshness of being alive. I returned home lighter and happier.
